BYE BYE TO THE GRAND OLD LADY OF KALLANG

Finally, the day has come, the saluting of our icon for the last time, 30th June 2007 marks the closing ceremony for the National Stadium located at Kallang. One of Singapore's iconic landmarks will host its final event (friendly soccer match between Singapore and Australia, 0-3) before it makes way for the construction of the new Sports Hub ready in 2011.

Since its official opening on 21 July 1973, the National Stadium has seen many sports and non-sports events, and distinguished visitors. It carries with it a rich history and has played an important role in nation building. It is a standing testament to how sports and sports venues play a crucial role in bonding our people.

i felt something for the stadium as i was then a part of them too. During my industrial attachment, i was posted with SSC and it was during the period of NDP. i was there to see the rehearsals, the shouting of correctness / tidiness, the setting up of stage, the nation's different national songs, the cleaning up and not forgeting the 'gatal-ness' of the abang2 army and police.

i am proud of the stadium as it held up lots of memories for the nation especially during the Malaysia Cup era which Singapore emerge champion and the wonderful and beautiful National Day Parade which i think the participants that march during the parade should be proud of themselves as this opportunity does comes easily and to anyone.

i had a great time becoming an intern at SSC. people out there might not know abt this, there's actually a museum at the stadium and many more like, public gym, sports library, sports medicine and sports science centre and so on..
i went to all of them. hehe.. i did tour the whole place and its surroundings. interesting but sadly, nobody cares. the stadium is dead with only NDP, SYF and some soccer events to light up the place.

i will definitely miss the kallang roar, kallang waves and the atmosphere of the kallang stadium.

anyway, the new sports hub is taking over and i hope that this hub will be a better use in future. lets all make Singapore a Sport hub to be recognise. i hope that the new stadium will be filled with the new generation of Lions with its roar, OLE! and the hub will be in use for national events.

boring & congrats

B.O.R.E.D

its a saturday and everybody is out and im at home.
no date to go out with. bagos jugak lah, klw tak, every saturday aku kluar.

anyway, to my sweetheart cousin, Mardiah Kahar, congrats to you for your SPM results (9As and 1B) which is like many many months ago.
hey, she's the 2nd top student in her top rated school. monday ni, she's goin Sepang to study her doctor course, if she pass with good grades, she will be posted to India to further her studies.

2nd day

2nd day of work.

fun.. tiring.. havoc..

i self-posted myself to ECS Clinic 1&2 today

since i was at Clinic A yesterday, i decided to try out at the different section.

ECS is fast pace as it is the main place for patient registration and consultation. there's lots of patients, mainly the elder ones.

i had fun attending to the patients bcoz they ask lots for questions. i like to talk to them, smile at them. makes you feel happy and satisfy with your work. today am a Chinese girl bcoz my fellow clerks and 'anty' talk to me in Mandarin. haha, some sort here and there i can understand lah. i make new friends and im happy rather than 'yesterday girl'

below is my experince today

today's case:

1) patient complain about the fee, gst thingy, saying why the notice didnt state for private or subsidies patient (so particular)

2) 2 old man arguing (no-shame ar)

3) an old man tells me he cant just urinate for the urine test and ask if there's anything that can make him urine (uncle-uncle =shake head)

4) patients don't know how to press the ticketing machine (must press hard-hard and wait long-long)

5) daughter force mom the drink water to pee (mom is so stubborn)

it was a tiring day as there is no time for you to rest and seat down. i had lots of blister on my feet and that hurts to the max and imaging standing for 5hrs..! its killing me. i got no black covered shoe to wear so i wore either a tight or a loose shoe. i know, that sucks and i bear with it for 2days!

so people, pls donate me a pair of black shoe.

HIRED

hey..
its been some time since i last wrote.

anyway, im here to tell u something,
IM HIRED!!
(alhamdulillah)
(i would like to thank my Family and Close Friends for supporting me in getting a job. u all the putus2 give me the semangat i needed, to countinue on sending my resume and interview. to the advise me of wat to wear for interview, marah me to make me stop stressing, i love u all.)

after months and days of sending out many many of my resume, atlast, an interview was called.

i'll be working at Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC)
As a front line person, customer service. Dealing with registration, payment.....

im so happy in getting this job coz i waited for nearly 2mths for a job.
i thing customer service is good enough. i get to meet people, interact with them. thats what i like, like to talk. haha. and its offices hours, so i still get to meet my friends and hang out on weekends freely.

so anyway, im starting work 28june 2007. so people, do visit me if u'r around that area. oh, its located at Outram, beside SGH.

(to my close frens, we shall go out one day for SNAP and MILO DINAUSOUR as promised by me)

escape theme park

hohoho
ytd me and some frens went to the theme park at Pasir Ris
althought there's only 7 of us, it was quite noisy actually.
the entrance fee was $16.50 per person bt bcoz of Dennis, each of us paid $4.50.
he got a few $6 coupons so we make use of it all. (sape ckp msk theme park bayar $6 AJE..?)
sophia suppose to join us bt she's sick. (too bad girl, u miss the fun.. opps, u miss the selengers)

so anyway, we tried almost all the rides, even the kids ride, which some that we can fit in lah.
the rides are:

pepsi (i and nana laughing throughtout the spinning ride)
viking (i curl myself coz i cant stand the butterflies in my stomach)
water slide (i sat infront and nana behind. nana whole body was wet. shahreen tasted the water splashing in. i shouted sophia's name in the 'terowong')
rainbow (i didn't participate, too dizzy already)
go krat (i drive!! didn't hit on anyone. my legs were too short for the engine. stepping on the brake all the way down the slope)
haunted house (i dare not open my eyes!! it was close throughout the walk. i can't wait for the walk to end. lots of unnecessary screaming. nana, beware of wat u hold on to)
space ring (didn't want to be on it, bt i can't resist)
eat (we took pics, BK again)
viking (again!! our fav. this time, we took video cam. natasha no feeling, she's cool. shahreen we saw yr face, it was cramp to the max)
family roller coster (hahahaha.. monsters on the ride. they still fit in the the sits bt later on, conplain the backaches and uncomfortable. me and shahreen didnt join them, too dizzy)

i am still dizzy till nw!! after the whole spinning ride, i bough 'buah asam' to keep me away from the spinning world.

that's it. fun day. funny outing. silly people.

Stupid radio station. They just wont release the singer bcoz of this illegel downloading thingy. Wat the hell
you wanna know, you sms them. something like tat. And it cost 30 cent each sms.
